Description

This is the 4808-D Express Desk from Peter Pepper. This wall-mounted folding desk includes not just a large 28" wide x 20" deep work surface, but also a pen shelf, a chart pocket, a 9" tackboard, and a laminate interior section for those who prefer sticky notes.  This model also has the pneumatic self-closing feature.  When you remove weight from the desk, it automatically closes itself.

The 4808-D has just about every feature one might want on a wall-mounted desk.  Don't need the self-closing version?  The 4808 is the same desk without the self-closing feature.

If you need a work surface but space is tight, these wall-mounted desks may be a good solution.  The desk is out of the way until you grab the handle and pull down the front.  It opens into a work surface measuring 28" wide by 20" deep with a weight capacity of up to 30 pounds.

The cabinet side panels and handle are available in your choice of 27 colors or 7 wood finishes. 

The work surface itself is a laminate with a soft white finish. The exterior door front (the work surface bottom) is available in 3 laminate finishes.

Plastic retainers in the back hold files or supplies upright and out of the way.

The 9" tackboard in the 4808 can be either Peter Pepper Color Cork or one of 24 standard fabrics.  You can also use a COM, but this will add to the production time and your material must be approved by the factory.

Need to lock up?  You can add the optional combination lock with key. 

If you've been reviewing the various Express Desk models, you might note that this unit doesn't have the option to add a chart drop slot.  That's because of the internal layout of the cabinet with the addition of the pen shelf and separator between the tackboard and laminate note surface.

Like all the features but don't have a need for the self-closer?  Have a look at the 4808 Express Desk, with identical features but no self-closer.  A few more features than you really need?  You might prefer the more basic 4800-D Express Desk, which is smaller and has fewer amenities.  If these still don't quite fit your needs, there are a number of other Express Desks with a variety of options.
